SOMEONE ASKED ME:
WHY SPEND SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY FOR YOUR KID TO TRAIN IN TABLE TENNIS, KARATE, VOLLEYBALL, SOCCER, BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL OR ANY OTHER SPORT?
MY REPLY:
I HAVE A CONFESSION TO MAKE: I DO NOT PAY FOR MY SON/DAUGHTER TO PLAY THE SPORT. DO YOU KNOW WHAT I’M PAYING FOR? I’M PAYING FOR MY KID TO LEARN TO BE DISCIPLINED; FOR MY KID TO LEARN TO CARE FOR HIS MIND AND BODY; FOR THEM TO LEARN TO WORK WITH OTHERS AND TO BE A GOOD TEAMMATE; TO LEARN TO DEAL WITH DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN HE DOES NOT GET THE RESULTS HE EXPECTED, BUT HE KNOWS HE HAS TO WORK HARDER TO ACHIEVE; SO HE LEARNS TO REACH HIS GOALS; FOR HIM (HER) TO UNDERSTAND THE SACRIFICE AND TO UNDERSTAND THE HOURS AND HOURS OF PRACTICE NEEDED TO BECOME A CHAMPION AND THAT SUCCESS DOES NOT HAPPEN OVERNIGHT; FOR THE OPPORTUNITY THEY WILL HAVE TO MAKE FRIENDSHIPS THAT LAST A LIFETIME; SO THAT THEY WILL BE ON THE PLAYING FIELD AND NOT IN FRONT OF A TV; I PAY FOR THOSE MOMENTS WHEN THEY RETURN HOME SO TIRED FROM THE WORK AND ONLY WANT TO REST, WITH NO TIME TO BE LAZY OR GET INTO BAD HABITS; FOR ALL THE GOOD LESSONS SPORTS CAN GIVE THEM: RESPONSIBILITY, HUMILITY, DEDICATION, FRIENDSHIP AND GETTING ALONG WITH OTHERS.
I COULD CONTINUE BUT WANT TO BE BRIEF; I DO NOT PAY FOR THE PRACTICES, I PAY FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES TO DEVELOP GOOD HABITS AND ABILITIES THAT WILL BE VERY VALUABLE IN THEIR LIVES AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO VALUE LIFE.
FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, THIS IS MY BEST INVESTMENT!
Wow nice
