English Grammar, Writing, and Reading - Grade 4

Grammar

Types of Sentences: Declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences.

Verbs: Simple future tense (e.g., will run, will eat).

Complex Sentences: Combining independent and dependent clauses.

Pronouns: Subject and object pronouns (e.g., I, me, she, her).

Punctuation: Apostrophes for contractions and possession.


Writing

Opinion Writing: Developing persuasive arguments with supporting reasons.
Research Writing: Writing reports with facts from multiple sources.
Creative Writing: Writing short stories with dialogue and descriptive language.


Reading

Comprehension: Inference skills – reading between the lines.
Character Analysis: Discussing character motivations and growth.
Summarization: Writing brief summaries of stories or articles.
